Luther once stated that “a Christian congregation should never gather together without the preaching of God’s Word and prayer, no matter how briefly… Therefore, when God’s Word is not preached, one had better neither sing nor read, or even come together.”

At GLBC, you will not find any part of our services or our gatherings more central than the preaching of God’s Word. Romans 10:14-17 says “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?… So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

We encourage our listeners to examine the Word for themselves, as modern Bereans, seeking to determine if what we preach is true. Our sermons are not littered with the opinions of men, but with sound exposition and direct, personal application.
