Our Leadership

We have been blessed with some of Godís choicest servants.  Whether it is our pastor or one of our ministry leaders, we are thankful for the humble, Christ-like servants God has given us.

Our Senior Pastor

Pastor Matt McPhillips has been our pastor since 2002.  He grew up in the thumb of Michigan, served with the 82nd Airborne, has been a youth pastor and associate pastor, and is continuing his education through a Master of Divinity degree.  He is married to his wife Beth of 17 years and has three children, Matthew (16), Megan (14), and Michael (12).  Some of his joys are hunting (though not very successful), NASCAR, and college football (Go Wolverines).  He has been in the ministry for 12 years and is thankful for each opportunity God has opened up to him.  His passion in ministry is expository preaching of the Word of God through verse by verse study of books of the Bible.  His desire in ministry is to accurately teach the Word of God so that the hearer can grow by its transforming power.  He has written one book on the subject of repentance and continues to search Godís Word to be able to rightly divide the word of truth. Our Executive Pastor

Kyle Floyd is the Executive Pastor of Grace Life Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Port Huron, MI and is the oldest of his parentís two children. He was born again at the age of eighteen and began serving in the ministry a few years later.
Kyleís hobbies include watching sports (especially hockey, baseball, and college football), playing sports, singing, reading, and driving anything with a motor. Some of his favorite things to eat (although he is not picky) are gourmet pizza, spinach-artichoke dip, and Chinese food!

He has been privileged to use his talents in music and media on several occasions. His passion, however, is preaching and teaching Godís Word and serving in the ministry. He has a deep desire to see lives saved and changed by the power of God. Kyle and his wife Brittney were married on June 9, 2007. They have two daughters, Addyson and Mackenzie, and a beagle named Jimmy. They enjoy serving together at Grace Life and hope to see many other families saved, strengthened, and serving the Lord in their church.
